Welcome to Special Olympics Windsor

Special Olympics Ontario is a registered Canadian charitable organization, of which Special Olympics Ontario-Windsor is an active community program. We provide year-round athletic training and sports competitions to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics athletes will have the opportunity to compete in a number of sports at a variety of levels that accommodate a diverse range of abilities.

2012 Winter Sports

We are in full swing of the winter sport season. We are offering sporting opportunities in Bowling, Swimming, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Floor Hockey, Martial Gym, and Powerlifting/Fitness. Athletes can still register. See complete list and details here. Please contact the coach listed if you are interested in joining.

Special Olympics offers sporting opportunities for ages 8 to 88 years. Please contact us if your athlete is under the age of 8 and is interested in the Adapt Youth programs.

Legends Live Special Fundraising Event

Special Olympics Windsor is hosting a major fundraiser, Legends Live! Performances by Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Katy Perry, Garth Brooks and Jerry Lee Lewis, on Friday March 30th, 2012. Dinner at 630pm and Show at 730pm. Tickets are $40. Purchase a table of 8 by March 1st for $280, SAVE $40! Silent Auction and Sponsorships through VIP table purchases are available. We hope to have a huge turnout with this fundraiser and need the strong support of our families and community. The funds generated from this event will allow us to offer quality programs for our athletes at affordable or minimal fees. We are hoping that you are able to take part in this great event.

Bowling Volunteers Needed

We are looking for some volunteers that are knowledgable at bowling to join us for a few hours on Thursdays starting at 6pm at Rosebowl Lanes. We have a lot of very eager athletes that could use some expert advise on throwing a bowling ball and knocking down pins. If you're interested in help this fine group of athletes please contact Jim Clarke.

Pop Can Collection

We are collecting pop cans to raise funds. Please collect your cans, crush them if possible and contact Brian Andrews for drop off arrangements. Please do not bring them to your program facility.
